Cybersecurity Is A Critical Part Of Your Business

As a small business owner, it's important fact critical for you to realize that cybersecurity is a critical part of your business operations today. With the ever-increasing cybersecurity threat landscape, you have to take action to protect yourself and your company from both physical threats and cyber threats. Most of you probably feel all alone and unsure of what to do about these threats. You really don't understand or have any knowledge about it. So, hopefully, I can give you some pointers on where to start. First, you should invest in a business-class firewall to help block malicious internet traffic and give you alerts if a bad actor is trying to get into your network. Second, you should put a strong password policy into place. All employees, including yourself, should have unique, hard-to-guess passwords. You know, using the old password. One, two, three is a thing of the past, and you've got to change that now. Third, subscribe to a business-grade antivirus or advanced endpoint protection. Fourth is that all employees, including yourself, should be given regular cybersecurity awareness training to teach them the importance of not clicking on suspicious links and how to spot phishing emails and other scams. Just taking these small steps can greatly reduce their risk of becoming cyber attack victims.
